A
form of electrical energy oscillating in the frequency range of 300
kilohertz (kHz) to 1 megahertz (MHz). Electric currents that oscillate
at radio frequencies have special properties not shared by direct or
alternating currents. The energy in an RF current can radiate off a
conductor into space as electromagnetic waves (radio waves). RF has
also various medical applications.
