There are several pharmacological agents to reduce blood loss and blood transfusions in surgery.
  • Aprotinin (Trasylol)
  • Tranexamic acid (Cyklocapron)
  • Aminocaproic acid
  • Desmopressin
  • Recombinant factor VIIa
